TECHNICAL GUIDE
ΙSTIBEI INTERNATIONAL YOUTH MOUNTAIN BIKE FESTIVAL 2024
XCM

1. Sports Club “O PODILATIS” in cooperation with Municipality of Sintiki, and after having the permission of the Hellenic Cycling Federation (HCF), organizes intercollegiate XCM cycling races by the name “ISTIBEI INTERNATIONAL YOUTH MOUNTAIN BIKE FESTIVAL XCM” in the categories: Men, Women, Master and Sportive.
Race will take place in Neo Petritsi of the Municipality of Sintiki on Sunday 8 September 2024.

2. Categories
Men, Women, Master και Sportive
The race is included in the racing program of the HCF, and gives points in the individual and club classification of the HCF.

The final programme will be validated at the end of the registration period

5. Start – Finish Venue:
The route starts and finishes at the central square of N. Petritsi

6. Registration:

 I. All athletes who belong to H.C.F. and have an active card for 2024 or a UCI card are eligible to participate.
Each club is entitled to participate with an unlimited number of athletes.

II. Clubs can submit their entries according to the entry form which you can find here. Submitions will be eligible until 31/08/2024 by sending an
e-mail to [email protected].
Athletes in categories SPORTIVE can fill their registration until 31/08/2024 in this link.
III. An entry fee of 15€ is required for the registration to be validated.

7. Secretariat

Secretariat will be opened during the entire duration of the games.
The secretariat will open at 08:30, for team representative to deliver the athletes UCI cards and receive the numbers for his/hers team to race for all athletes of theirs team and not one by one.
OPEN category athletes can proceed to the secretariat by themselves.

 8. Technical meeting:

According to the programme.

9. Rules:

Race will be run according to the UCI and HCF regulations.

10. Special Rules:

 I. Based in the weather conditions, race committee will decide the final number of participants  Η Αγωνόδικος επιτροπή θα αποφασίσει λαμβάνοντας υπόψη τις καιρικές συνθήκες, τον αριθμό των συμμετεχόντων, as well as other parameters, whether to apply the 80% or 100%  (lapped) rule regarding the classification of athletes who are late during the race.
II. Participating athletes are obliged to have cycling clothing (helmet – special cycling shoes, etc.) in accordance with the regulations and circulars.
III. Technical assistance – Feeding zones will be announced at the Technical Conference.
IV. Time limits will be available and will be announced at the Technical Conference.
V. Starting order: according to the latest valid HCF and UCI ratings for the year 2023

11. Prizes:

 1st winner: cup, golden medal diploma
2nd winner: silver medal diploma
3rd winner bronze medal, diploma
4th, 5th, 6th diploma.

II. For SPORTIVE athletes there will be awards as follows:
Men 17-29 – 1st: cup, medal, diploma – 2nd-3rd: medal, diploma
Men 30-39 – 1st: cup, medal, diploma – 2nd-3rd: medal, diploma
Men 40-49 – 1st: cup, medal, diploma – 2nd-3rd: medal, diploma
Men 50+ – 1st: cup, medal, diploma – 2nd-3rd: medal, diploma
Women 17+ – 1st: cup, medal, diploma – 2nd-3rd: medal, diploma

 12. Award Ceremony:
Will take place in place and time that will be announced by the organizers.

13. Antidoping control:
In case of doping control procedures by National Anti-doping Agency, an announcement will be communicated each day according UCI, NF and National Anti-doping Agency regulations.

14. Penalties:
Penalties will be applied as described by the UCI rules..

18. Participation declaration:
By participating in the race, the rider accepts the content and conditions of this competition notice.
All participants in any form, riders, coaches, attendants, spectators and all those involved in the organization, accept that their personal information, the results of the races with their performances, photos, videos, be given to press, social media etc, and to be processed by the organizer of the match and its co-organizers.

Unforeseen matters settlement :
For anything not provided for in this technical guide a decision will be taken on the spot by the Competition Committee. The athletes participate in the races at their own risk and the organizer has no liability for any possible accident as well as damage or loss of racing material, clothing, etc. The organizers have the right to reduce categories according to the Regulations of the EEA and to modify the race programme and the route in case of anything that makes it not possible and safe for the competitors to access all parts of the route.
